It was a rainy start in Siburan, but the weather did not stop students, and local community from coming early to Dewan Masyarakat Siburan for the 13th stop of the Project of Dreams Realized (Pro-DR) Roadshow 2025.
The hall quickly came alive with the Career Exploration Programme (CEP) by PERKESO, joined by students from SMK Siburan, SMK Padawan, SMK Tun Abdul Razak, SMK Sungai Tapang, and SMK Penrissen No. 1. This was followed by a fun Treasure Hunt, keeping the energy high and excitement flowing.
Visitors also explored the Education & Career Expo, while others took part in fun competitions such as Fruit Carving and Minecraft, showing their skills and creativity.
PRO-DR 2025 Launched in Siburan with Call for Youth to Lead in AI & Innovation
The PRO-DR 2025 Roadshow in Siburan was officiated by YB Datuk Dr Jerip Anak Susil, Deputy Minister of Transport (Air and Road), Deputy Chairman of TEGAS, and ADUN N.19 Mambong.
In his speech, YB Dr Jerip stressed that higher education and digital skills are “passports to the future,” urging youths to equip themselves for a world shaped by AI, Industry 4.0, and the digital economy. He also highlighted the importance of STEM and TVET in preparing Sarawak’s next generation for global opportunities.
The ceremony included the symbolic handover of the Think & Tinker (T&T) Mini Lab to SK Taba Sait, giving rural students early access to innovation and technology.
After the launch, VIPs toured the Education & Career Expo, engaging directly with institutions and agencies.
Celebrating Talent and Future Opportunities at PRO-DR 2025 Siburan
The PRO-DR 2025 Siburan stop concluded with a lively Prize Presentation ceremony, celebrating the winners of the Fruit Carving and Minecraft competitions.
