The sixth stop of the Project of Dreams Realized (PRO-DR) 2025 Roadshow began today at Dewan SMK Semop, with students, school leavers, teachers, and the local community showing strong early interest.
The morning session featured a talk on “What’s Next After SPM?”, helping youth reflect on their future steps and understand available pathways. Many participants also explored the Education and Career Expo, where more than 30 institutions and agencies offered practical guidance and new opportunities.
Throughout the day, creative and hands-on activities such as the Fruit Carving Competition, and Mini Minecraft Challenge kept the atmosphere lively and inspiring.
PRO-DR 2025 Launches in Semop to Empower Future Innovators
The official launch of PRO-DR 2025 in Semop was officiated by Yang Berusaha Tuan Zul bin Haji Usup, Pegawai Daerah Daro, representing YB Datuk Abdullah bin Haji Saidol, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs and UKAS), ADUN N.42 Semop, and Secretary of the TEGAS Board of Trustees.
In his speech, YB Datuk Abdullah emphasised the importance of building digital skills among rural youth to support Sarawak’s digital transformation agenda. He commended TEGAS and its partners for providing hands-on learning experiences to students through STEM and innovation programmes.
The launch featured a symbolic gimmick, the screening of PRO-DR’s 10-year journey video, and the handover of a Think & Tinker Mini Lab to SMK Semop to support students in exploring innovation and STEM education. Afterwards, the VIPs toured the Education and Career Expo, where students continued to explore various career and study opportunities.
PRO-DR 2025 Semop Ends with Impact and Unity
The final session of the PRO-DR 2025 Roadshow in SMK Semop wrapped up with vibrant participation from students and the local community.
In the afternoon, participants joined a Treasure Hunt that encouraged teamwork and communication as they searched for listed items in a fun and lively way. Participants also enjoyed an interactive Kahoot Quiz, followed by an Award Ceremony recognising winners of the Fruit Carving and Mini Minecraft challenges.
