We have arrived in the heart of Kapit. Students, parents and job seekers came early to Dewan Masyarakat Melayu Kapit to kickstart the eighth stop of the PRO-DR 2025 Roadshow.

The day began with an inspiring talk on “What’s Next After SPM” helping students understand smart pathways to build their future. Inside the hall, more than 30 institutions and agencies are engaging with youth through education booths, hands-on workshops and financial aid guidance.

The Fruit Carving Competition and Minecraft Challenge are attracting creative young minds, while walk-in interviews by employers offer real job opportunities to the rural community.

PRODR 2025 Launched in Kapit to Champion Education Access

The PRO-DR Roadshow 2025 in Kapit was officiated by YB Tuan Wilson Nyabong Ijang, ADUN N.61 Pelagus and Member of the TEGAS Board of Trustees.

In his speech, YB Tuan Wilson emphasised that education is not just a need, but a powerful investment for our youth to rise and lead. He highlighted that programmes like PRO-DR help equip rural students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to dream bigger.

The launch ceremony included a symbolic gimmick, the screening of a video on PRO DR’s 10-year journey, and the handover of a Think and Tinker Mini Lab to SK Kapit to encourage innovation and STEM learning among students.

The event continued with a tour of the Education and Career Expo, where students explored career and study opportunities through interactive booths and activities.

Kapit Wraps Up PRO-DR 2025 with Talent Fun and Inspiration

The PRO-DR 2025 stop in Kapit ended with a lively evening of exciting activities including a Kahoot Quiz and a Treasure Hunt that sparked teamwork, joy and laughter among students.

Winners of the Minecraft and Fruit Carving competitions were celebrated during the prize ceremony showing creativity talent and community spirit.
